Ombré or Balayage – Which Hair Colour Is Right For Me?

Most clients ask for blonde balayage or blonde ombré, however, a very common question our expert colour stylists we get asked at our Dundee hair salon is ‘What is the difference is between ombré and balayage?’.

The word ombré is derived from the French term for ‘shadow’.  Darker roots becoming lighter towards the ends is the customary look for a more defined colour change.  We are unlikely to add highlights around the regrowth area if you are looking for a dramatic colour change.
